“Second Chances Garage believes that a personal vehicle is essential for the financial stability, independent living, and emotional well-being of an individual or family. Second Chances Garage helps individuals and families to attain the benefits of personal car ownership. Our Low-Cost Vehicle Program (LCVP) helps qualified individuals buy a car. Our clients for this program are people who have lost nearly everything and are starting over. We repair donated cars and sell them to our clients for a nominal fee. The $15,000 grant from The Rosendin Foundation will fund this program and help with the cost to repair these cars.”

YWCA’s transitional housing programs, Families Together (FT) and Women in Transition (WIT), serve women and families facing homelessness by providing safe, affordable transitional housing and comprehensive case management services. Each day, our transitional housing programs serve up to 66 women and 10 families facing homelessness. This grant award will be used to support our transitional housing participants as they work toward their goal of stabilizing their lives and achieving permanent housing. We are truly grateful!”

Youth are paired with specially trained adult volunteer mentors and one of our fantastic horses to meet weekly in one-hour sessions. Their mentors are thoroughly vetted and trained, and all mentorship sessions are supervised by a mental health professional to ensure all participants have the support they need and that everyone is safe.”
