Service Day: Austin, TX – Kitchen Kits
The survivors at The SAFE Alliance get to “shop” in their warehouse to outfit their new homes while in transitionary housing after escaping horrific situations. We supported these survivors and their families who oftentimes flee with just the clothes on their backs by donating new and gently used pots, pans, skillets, measuring cups & spoons, bakeware, and cooking utensils to support our vulnerable community members. Then we gathered together on Friday, September 10th to assemble it all to best serve SAFE Alliance’s operations.
Thankful for these amazing volunteers and donors who supported our Service Day – Jim Crisafulli, June Crisafulli, Charity Wischmeyer, Jacob Kim, Jolsna Thomas, Hope Piernick, Susan Carlisle, Wendi Offield, Cassandra Morales, Joe Rey Salinas, Barbara King, Kaitlin Aragon, Jenny Tae, Patty Barrios-Lujan, & Nick Duff.
Don’t forget that October is #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth. Research into how you can support your local nonprofits and neighbors – be a support system for those in need.
