Monthly President’s Letter: December 2024
Dear Community Members and Builders,
I am so proud of the amazing community we are building through The Rosendin Foundation. We are listening and trying to solve the issues our community members face.
We distributed $2,350,000 in grants in 2024. Thank you to our Grant Making Committee, staff, board, Xochil T, and Communications Committee members for helping us to facilitate this demonstration of how WE CARE. Everything that we do requires a team of volunteers pitching in to make this happen. Thank you!
To date we have shared our treasure with our nonprofit partners to the tune of $4,230,350. Over half of that giving occurred this year! From our humble start of $185,850 to now supporting 296 nonprofits nationally is empowering and impactful.
We expanded TRF Camp Build to an additional city (Charlotte) and added a second-year curriculum to build upon the camper’s learned knowledge and developed skills from 2023. We graduated 107 campers with the help of our fifty sponsors, amazing volunteers, and staff. Thank you!
In 2025, we will add weeklong camps in Los Angeles (Commerce) and Sterling. The weeklong camps were truly transformative. Those who participated witnessed the transformation of these children into safe builders with confidence in their knowledge, skills, and ability to handle tools. All campers left confident and empowered! If you know of a company or individuals interested in sponsoring TRF Camp Build, please direct them to our website. The deadline to sponsor is March 31st. We shared our time, skills, and muscles through 42 Service Activities. Thank you to our Communications Committee members for planning forty-two separate Service Days throughout the country. 375 volunteers participated with 94 being first time volunteers. We shared 761 hours to positively impact our local communities. Thank you to our committee members and volunteers for wholeheartedly building community.
We continued to excel thanks to our Fundraising Committee and staff. This third golf tournament raised $322,625.47 gross and net a surplus to TRF of $257,775.86. This is an increase of 11% surplus since 2023.
224 Rosendin and MPS employees supported our efforts financially with 188 of them being sustaining supporters through paycheck contributions allowing us to secure the matching dollars from Rosendin Holdings. 3 Retirees supported our efforts.
