Monthly President’s Letter: August 2024
Dear Community Members and Builders,
This month, we close TRF Camp Build with collections on the final few unpaid pledges. In mid-August, WCNC shared its segment on TRF Camp Build spurring outreach from local academies to partner in Charlotte. If you would like to volunteer with TRF Camp Build as we expand to Southern California and Virginia and expand camp in Austin, Phoenix, and Charlotte, please email Operations Manager Hope Piernick.
The Grant Making Committee, under Chair Jeanne Donhiser, is steadily reviewing the 277 Annual Grant applications received last month. We will SHARE how we CARE with the allocation of $2.3M when we publish the 2024 Annual Grantee information in next month’s newsletter. Thank you to all the nonprofits who submitted applications and shared their impact on communities.
The Fundraising Committee, under Chair Ray Nelson and Tournament Chairs Bill Blackwood and Hank Brasch, is working hard on next month’s annual Golf Tournament and Auction. We are on target to continue to EXCEL this year having raised 99% of the year’s fundraising goal ($50k more than last year’s goal). If you know of any businesses or individuals who could donate items for the raffle and auction, please ask them or connect them to us. We request many items, so everyone finds something to bid on to support our mission.
Our volunteers demonstrated our We CARE core value. Our Temple volunteers collected back-to-school supplies and continued to drive for Meals on Wheels Belton. Our Austin/Pflugerville volunteers collected and assembled kitchen kits for SAFE Alliance. We will continue to share Service Day activities in the monthly newsletter. Thank you especially to the employees who donate live saving blood. Please join us in positively impacting our community.
Thank you for supporting our mission. Thank you especially to all the hard-working employees of Rosendin and MPS for your efforts to make the projects profitable to ensure that The Rosendin Foundation can positively impact communities, build and empower people, and inspire innovation. Because of your hard work and commitment to creating opportunities for all, we were able to dramatically increase our Annual Grant giving an additional $1MM.
