Dear Community Members and Builders,

This month, we remained focused on our core value of WE INNOVATE by hosting our first of five (5) camps for the 2024 summer in Sherman, TX at Modular Power Solution’s manufacturing facility. Fifteen (15) campers took us up on the opportunity to learn how to operate power tools safely, bend conduits (offsets and hearts), wire and build lamps, and build virtually using computers and Legos. Campers and their parents also learned about careers in the electrical industry and what classes and clubs to join to become an IBEW apprentice. Check out the highlight video on our YouTube channel!

You will get to see our new second year curriculum that we are rolling out in Phoenix and Austin. We have limited volunteer opportunities available for our upcoming camps; please sign up to help us share our love of construction with our future builders. We continue to live our WE EXCEL core value by selling out of our foursome sponsorships for our 3rd Annual Golf Tournament and Auction. Thank you to our steadfast supporters for renewing their support. But do not worry, plenty of sponsorship opportunities exist for those companies and individuals who want to support our community-building efforts. We are seeking donations for our raffle and auction and have many non-foursome opportunities available. Please reach out to Operations Manager Hope Piernick to learn more.

We hope our field employees have enjoyed LISTENING to our monthly toolbox talks. This month we shared about Service Days and volunteering at TRF Camp Build. Thank you to those who signed up to volunteer and those who have already volunteered! Next month, we SHARE about the budgeted $1.3 in Annual Grants with nonprofits nationally. I request that you SHARE this funding opportunity with the nonprofits positively impacting our communities. Next month, we officially transition to our new platform before our July 1st Annual Grants deadline.

Our volunteers demonstrated our We CARE core value. Our Texas volunteers collected 553 books to donate to BookSpring to support literacy. Our Rosendin DFW job sites won the new annual award for collecting the most books (322!). Our Gallatin team donated to partner Ashley’s Place. Our Prineville team collected recyclables to donate to partner Human Society of the Ochocos. Our Virginia teams collected canned foods for United Communities Against Poverty, Inc. Our Tempe team delivered meals to the elderly in the community through Meals on Wheels. Our Sacramento team added sweat equity by using their muscles to support our local community. Finally, our San Jose team donated their lifesaving blood for our community.
