Service Day: Arizona Wide – Backpack Drive

During the month of July, all Arizona sites raised monetary donations to support Chicanos Por La Causa's backpack drive.
The Rosendin Foundation

Arizona locations raised a combined total of $4,769.32 in monetary donations to support Chicanos Por La Causa‘s back-to-school backpack drive. They came to the Tempe, AZ office to pick up the cash donations as well as pick up the physical supplies that Rosendin interns packed in June to stuff backpacks going to children, instilling interns with the importance of corporate social responsibility. Read more about that Service Day here.

The format for the backpack drive was gamified by making the different offices & sites compete for who could raise the most in a “race to first place” theme. Each office selected their chosen race car to represent their location. This made raising money fun and gave some locations bragging rights until the next race.

This is not the first time this “race to first place” format has been used to raise money for CPLC’s annual backpack drive. This year, the Compass team crossed the finish line first, raising a total of $1,698.80, unseating the previous year’s champions, the MAZ team, who clinched the second-place spot this year. A big shout-out to all of the teams that helped to raise money for this year’s back-to-school fundraising drive.

Who will win next year? We can’t wait to find out! But more importantly, we cannot wait for the next opportunity to support awesome nonprofit organizations in our community, like Chicanos Por La Causa, that help to impact, empower, and inspire our communities.
